Our Embed Anything blog was well overdue...
We wanted to have a place to announce new features we release, talk about things of interest in the news, other technologies we're seeing out there, as well as a place to get some feedback from our users/fans/enemies.
Open Angel Forum
Today we're writing about an exciting opportunity we had to present
We arrived to burgers, beers, and plenty of time to get to know some of the other lucky tech companies that were chosen to present as well. There were some starups we hadn't seen before like
NutriSleuth. They knocked everyone's socks off with a mobile app to help those with allergies easily determine if a food can be eaten by scanning the barcode. There was also
Shiny Ads with a self serve ad platform,
PPM Lite who is creating a centralized project management interface, and
Ready Set Work who makes employment scheduling and communications a snap. There was also one we
had seen before which was
Betterment who presented at TechCrunch Disrupt. You're probably getting the picture that there were some great startups there and we simply felt lucky to be amongst them.
The Open Angel Forum was a fantastic place for us to not only showcase what we've been working so hard on for the past year, but also get some great ideas, feedback, and interest from a room full of tech savvy investors who devote their lives to sniffing out great new technologies. We weren't exactly sure what we were walking into, how intense things were going to be, or whether anything would come out of it, but we left there with a number of business cards and some meetings to look forward to.
Major Thanks
A huge thanks to Jason Calacanis, Jason Krute, and others of the Open Angel Forum for not only giving us the opportunity to present and meet some great people, but also for the time and energy that went into the organization of the event. It resulted in a smooth and successful showcase for all of the startups. It also seemed like a great way for the angels to get a glimpse of what we were all about with our 5 minute demo and 10 minute Q&A. Embed Anything was proud to be a part of OAF NYC, and we're quite certain it is going to be worth every ounce of energy we put into it ;) An additional thanks to OAF's sponsors
Symantec and
SVB Accelerator for helping to make OAF possible.
Check our technologies out if you haven't and tell your friends about us if you like what you see. If you don't like what you see, then feel free to write us a letter, apply the proper postage, and throw it directly into the trash can. No seriously, I'd love to hear from you directly (kris -at- our domain) with any feedback you're willing to give.
Be sure to follow us on
